Orthodox Jewish inspired collection

Moscow Fashion Week creates quite a stir!

Back in 1993 when Jean Paul Galtier came out with Orthodox Jewish inspired fashion collections and editorials outrage ensued. But that was then and this is now which begs the question should we be offended with one designer out of Moscow – St Bessarion’s latest collections?  Sometimes to be memorable you have to go against the grain, which is why when Jean Paul Gaultier used similar themes it shocked many but helped keep his label and that of haute couture fresh and inspiring, despite the controversy of what it depicted or whose sensibility it offended. Maybe the point of fashion is to reflect on all dispersions of society even if itsn’t politically correct- after all isn’t that the verve that gives fashion its disposition and desirability?
